Announced that B cell repertoire may be involved in patient prognosis in hematological malignancies

Dr. Kisato Nosaka of Kumamoto University Hospital reported the results of BCR repertoire analysis performed using peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) before mogamulizumab administration in adult T-cell leukemia-lymphoma (ATL) patients. The paper showed that a low proportion of CD2-CD19 + B cells in PBMC was a significant poor prognostic factor for overall survival (OS). In tumor immunity, the immune response of T cells has been attracting attention in advance, but the content newly focuses on the importance of the immune response of B cells.
